On March 24, Haima Automobile Co., Ltd. signed the agreement "R&D andIndustry of Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicles" with
Toyota Motor Investment Co.,Ltd.
The main goal of the framework agreement is to reach the operating scale of 2,000 hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in 2025.  Technical tests were conducted on Hainan Island: the third-generation hydrogen fuel cell vehicle of Haima Automobile was equipped with components and systems of Toyota's second-generation Mirai. The SPIC subsidiaries Da'an Stated Power Investment Co., Ltd. and Changchun Green Dynamic Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd. signed a PEM equipment supply contract for the integrated demonstration project of Da'an wind and solar green hydrogen and ammonia synthesis.
The contract values about 42 million dollars and involves a total amount of 10,000Nm³/h PEM electrolysis water hydrogen production systems. Source

On March 17, the launch ceremony of the first domestic 500kw hydrogen fuel cellship "Three Gorges Hydrogen Boat No. 1" was held in Zhongshan, China.
The length is 49.9 meters, the width is 10.4 meters, and the maximum speed is 28 km/h. The ship is powered by a fuel cell system (500kw) and a lithium battery system (1800kw), designed by the 712th Research Institute of China Shipbuilding Corporation. The maximal mileage can reach 200 kilometers. Source: 

On March 20, the National Energy Administration of China announced a typical case of hydrogen energy safety problem supervision.
The Jinggangshan power plant operated by Huaneng Power International Co., Ltd. is the “criminal” in this case. Firstly, they did not set up obvious safety warning signs on the pipelines in the ammonia area. Secondly, the flange of the main pipe of hydrogen supply in the drying room of the station is currently twisted with copper wires, and the bridge connection is unreliable. And finally, the distance between the control room and the electrolysis room of the hydrogen station is 3 meters, which does not meet the standard of 4.5 meters. Source

Direct production of hydrogen from seawater was selected as one of the top ten advances in Chinese science in 2022.
The 386L/h H2 electrolyser independently developed by Xie’s team from Shenzhen University/Sichuan University has produced hydrogen stably in real seawater for more than 3,200 hours, with a Faraday efficiency of nearly 100% and an electrolysis energy consumption of about 5.0 kWh/Nm3H2. Source
