Delphi Data Labs Delivers Global Hydrogen Market Overview at EXPO 2025 Osaka

Delphi Data Labs represented Austria at the Austria–Japan Energy Talk: Hydrogen in the Energy Transition.

OSAKA, September 14, 2025 — Delphi Data Labs represented Austria at the Austria–Japan Energy Talk: Hydrogen in the Energy Transition, held at the Austria Pavilion of EXPO 2025 Osaka. Founder and CEO Lukas Strohmeier, Chief Product Officer Thomas Geiger, and Analyst Yakhyo Karimov joined leading Austrian and Japanese experts to explore how green hydrogen is reshaping the global energy landscape.

The event was organized by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism, ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Tokyo, and EXPO Austria, and gathered senior policymakers, researchers, and industrial leaders from both countries. Opening remarks were delivered by Elisabeth Zehetner, Austria’s State Secretary for Energy, Startups, and Tourism, followed by an address from Katsuhiko Hirose, CEO of HyWealth and former Toyota executive credited with the development of the Prius and Mirai.

Japan’s hydrogen industry was represented by Technova Inc.—a Toyota Group–affiliated think tank and strategic partner of Delphi Data Labs—alongside Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, JOGMEC, NGK Insulators, and Toray, reflecting the country’s industrial leadership in hydrogen technology and infrastructure. Austrian speakers included Siegfried Kiss, responsible for business development and hydrogen strategy at RAG Austria AG, and a contribution from hydrogen storage startup Hydrosolid, showcasing Austria’s innovation capacity in hydrogen storage.

As part of the session “Market Overview for the Energy Transition”, Lukas Strohmeier presented Delphi Data Labs’ Interactive Digital Market Twin, a live, graph-based platform mapping the global hydrogen economy. The model connects thousands of datapoints across hydrogen production, electrolyzer projects, storage infrastructure, and corporate alliances, enabling stakeholders to visualize the global hydrogen network in real time.

The presentation illustrated how data intelligence can transform industrial complexity into actionable insight—helping accelerate hydrogen technology development, investment decisions, and cross-border cooperation. Delphi’s discussions with Japanese leaders from Kawasaki, Mitsubishi, and Technova underscored a growing alignment between European and Asian industrial ecosystems.

The Energy Talk concluded with a panel moderated by Akiteru Maruta of Technova Inc., followed by a networking reception that fostered collaboration between Austrian and Japanese institutions.

Representing Austria at EXPO 2025 Osaka highlighted Delphi Data Labs’ mission: to fuse data science, semantic AI, and market intelligence into a single lens for understanding industrial transformation.

In Strohmeier’s words, “The future of hydrogen will be built not only on molecules - but on data.”
